Bibles

A couple of new versions of the Bible came to my attention today. The first is the new Common English Bible (CEB). The CEB was developed with "readability" in mind. It boasts a great group of editors and translators from across denominational lines. If you visit their website, you can click on FREE NEW TESTAMENT, and they will send you a paperback copy. You have to make your request before August 1.

The other new version of the Bible is The Wesley Study Bible. Did you know John Wesley made comments on the entire Bible? This version of the Bible allows you to access Wesley's comments on whichever passage of the Bible you choose to read. If you buy it here at Cokesbury, you can get a 36% discount this month. The cover isn't exciting, but I'm looking forward to seeing what this version has to offer.
